The concealer is a kind of targeted mask on your face. It should be applied only to the area with an imperfection: pimple, mole, age spot, dilated pore that you want to blur.
How to use a concealer?
The concealer is to be used in combination with the foundation, the objective being to even out the complexion of the face. The concealer is more pigmented than the foundation to have a more covering power than the latter.
You can find concealers in three forms: powder, liquid and pencil. You can also use the principles of colorimetry to correct “colored” imperfections such as red pimples and bluish dark circles. Thus the red pimples will be corrected by slightly green tints while the bluish dark circles will be blurred by a yellow color. Darker areas of complexion will be corrected with a concealer in the shade 1 or 2 tones below your foundation.
