Formaldehyde is used in cosmetology for its preservative properties and as a hardener, but its use is not without danger. Formaldehyde in my polish, is it possible?

Yes, the presence of formaldehyde is possible in nail polishes and in various other cosmetic products and it is better to look at the ingredients closely (see INCI list) if you are patient.

So be careful if you are a nail polish fan or a nail art addict! Looking at labels isn't always easy, but luckily there are 4-Free polishes guaranteed to be Formaldehyde-, Dibutyl Phthalate-, Toluene- and Formaldehyde-Free.

It is therefore recommended to choose your varnishes by closely monitoring the ethics of the brand that markets them.
